What do you guys think about STEC, dropped around 14-15% since early this month just on news that EMC is holding back from making new orders just yet. It started bouncing back and has recovered a point for the last few days. I think the Solid State Drive industry has miles to go this year and the next because of all the sales from APPLE (Iphone & Ipad), all the smartphones (Andriod, BB, WINMO) etc. This industry is not weak as we can see from the performance by SNDK...I want you guys to weigh in on this stock. I think it is a good buy at this price?

STEC has now formed a nice Bullish Engulfing with volume. I would take this as a signal to stop and reverse; meaning to close out any short sales and buy with a gap up tomorrow. If you do buy, use a tight stop-loss; it's a long way down if this pattern fails.
SVT, I looks like STEC, Inc. (STEC) made a bottom at $10.93 just recently. STEC is trading back above the 10 day moving average which is bullish for the short term. The stock hasn't closed above the 10 day like this since it was $16 per share. STEC is trading at a 10.75 forward P/E so Wall Street isn't predicting much growth over the next year. However, If Wall St is wrong, this stock could double. I don't really know enough about the company to make a bold prediction but I will look into it more.

I guess you can buy STEC as long as you keep a diciplined stop loss order at $10.90
STEC, Inc. (STEC) is now being talked about as a takeover candidate after the Netezza buyout today
