If you use one of the tax software (i.e Turbo Tax, Tax Act and H&R Block) which will directly get all the transactions from scott trade and complete the process with creating the Schedule-D. I personally use the Tax Act.

I just went to H&R block, I didn't want to deal with the hassle of figuring it all out, plus if the IRS comes after me, the blame lies on a large company that can be held responsible.
