I would say for starters, $2000 is the minimum, that way if you catch a 5% gain, you make $100 minus commision which would leave you with about $80. Don't swing for the fences if you are just starting....go for singles until you come up with a strategy.

Is there any forum or blog where i can get an idea, of which one to buy and initiate my trading with? I am thinking of starting with citi or some banking to go with? Would it help?
