Another way to play the current volatility in this market is with these 3x leveraged ETF's. You must have a good plan and you must be careful holding these for long periods of time as they are very volatile and will gap up and down as the market does.

These have been moving around 10% on average from high to low on any given day recently so you could even play in both directions

If you would have played TNA last Tue/Wed you would have been up over 20% and then turning around and playing TZA Thu/Fri would have gotten you another 20%+

While I think a drop is coming, I can't help think that a bunch of investors are bullish these last few weeks in anticipation of a Xmas rally. So nobody wants to get totally out right now. Hence these mixed flat days like today. Plus this Friday the euro news has people hopeful for a big up day or so on some type of positive news from it. I'm long tna right now. But who knows I always miss the mark heh.

whats it looking like now ? tza for awhile or still tna ?

I think you can buy TNA here with a very tight stop, if we close below 1240 on S&P I wouldn't hold it.  Look to start buying down at 1200 and below

S&P below 1240.  Good to wait till tomorrow before buying TZA/TNA....?

Yea I think it is good to wait until tomorrow.   The market trend is now shifting down again though.

Thanks Tim.  If possible, let us know when you think would be a good entry point.  just wanted to know your opinion.

I bought some TNA near the close....wish I would have bought in post market because it was trading below $41.80 at one point.  Anyway, I am unloading it in pre market this morning.  I would say the market has a downward bias but they might try to take the S&P 500 back up to 1265 before the end of the year.  Anything above 1265 you short the market, buy TZA, or short TNA

hop onto tza or too late ?

It may not be to late - buy i'm looking to get back into TNA as these levels - http://www.stockstobuy.org/forum/topics/tna-tza-buy-or-sell-decembe...
