Dow Jones Industrial Average ( DJIA ) Close - 12504.48 Up 135.10
Nasdaq Stock Market Close - 2847.21 Up 68.42
S&P 500 Close - 1315.99 Up 20.77
Gold Close - 1591
Silver Close - 28.39
Copper Close - 3.52
Oil Close - 92.92
Natural Gas Close - 2.62
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 12505 on 5/21/12, as the stock market rallied hard after the major averages were oversold. The selling we saw last week was the worst short term drop we've seen in a long time. When the markets get as oversold as they were on Friday and this morning, shorts tend to cover and bargin hunter jump into stocks. Apple (AAPL) rallied 5.6%, Kodiak Oil & Gas (KOG) rallied 8%, and Small Caps 3x Bull ETF (TNA) rallied 7%. These are my three favorite stocks right now.
As we move ahead this week, the S&P 500 will have support at 1309.
