I am watching Dow 9000 only....nothing else really.....the Dow Failed to break 9000 over the last two days....as soon as 9000 fails, I expect a correction

Terry, I am totally out of the market right now and in cash. There were several reasons for this including just typical profit taking. If we do get a major correction, I will look to get back in. Haven't been in all cash since March 2010.

I thought this was an interesting chart by Elliott Wave International in answer to the question, "Can the Fed keep the markets from falling." It shows what the price action was in December 2008 when there were interventions to help the markets.

I do think there will be a correction soon. Here is a monthly chart of the SPY with a 1and 2 standard deviations linear regression channels. You can see the percentage retracement of the recent rally. I bet it doesn't get to the -1 standard deviation.
