Solar Sector gets boost

Bank of America has partnered with the government to provide financing for 100,000 homes to go solar. $2.6Billion in financing is available to homeowners to go Solar as a result roof top solar companies should receive a substantial boost on their balance sheets. The Program was announced on Friday June 24th and the related article can be found on Yahoo Finance for those looking for Solar companies that may receive a boost from this program.

Pharmathene (PIP) possible court ruling!

Pharmathene (PIP) filed a suit last year against Siga Technologies over proprietary technology which it had partnered on with Siga. Siga backed out of it's deal with Pharmathene. The court could rule on this case by the end of the month. A favorable ruling for Pharmathene could send the stock well over $5. It is currently at $3.04. All indicators are that a ruling will be in favor of Pharmathene. The question remains how much and what will they get? This is a stock to watch or to buy.

Selling Smartrend on the back of a downtrend?

I noted recently that Zacks.com puts out "downtrend alerts" using what must be a program named "smartrend".

After a number of months as the stock alerted for a downtrend actually goes down, Zack's issues another alert stating "smartrend confirms downtrend". Then it goes further...every time good news comes out for the target "downtrend" company, Zacks comes out with another counterpunch.
