LEI announced a nonbinding Letter of Intent for a new joint venture anticipated to close prior to the end of the Company's fiscal year end March 31, 2010 subject to the completion of a purchase and sale agreement. Lucas Energy increases production 28% for the first half of Feb.2010

Lucas Energy stock symbol LEI announced today that daily average production for the first half of Feb. 2010 increases approximately 28% over the daily average for Jan. 2010. Further, the daily average production from operated wells for the first half of Feb. 2010 has increased 52% over the Dec. 2009 daily average. Lucas Energy receives $3.9 million in funding to open new wells & increase production.

Lucas Energy stock symbol LEI announced today they received approximately $3.9 million in capital from its joint venture partners. The money will be used to open 4 new wells. Three of the wells are in Wilson County, Texas and one well is in Gonzales County, Texas where Lucas Energy has existing producing wells. This investment capital came from the same joint venture partners who last September 2009 invested $2.7 million with Lucas Energy.

Lucas Energy (LEI) increases oil production steadily since 2005 rising from 10,000 to 50,000 barrels annually.

Lucas Energy has a proven ability to find reserves overlooked by larger companies or wells that are shut-in or abandoned by other operators. Currently, the company is targeting wells expected to increase monthly production rate by 20-30%. The company's goal is to reach a daily oil production rate of 500 barrels. "this stock is really making me nervous, despite the good intentions of the CEO. It's gone from a $10+ company to a $0.58 company in a couple of years. I can't see how Yahoo! is estimating this as a $6+ per share company in a year."
