Rachel, yes it will boost up the price. shorts make money when the stock goes down. So when they cover, they have to find the best possible price before it going up too high, hence the spike in PPS.

I took a huge hit on $EGMI (now under $EGMIQ). I even bought another 2000 shares at 0.88 before the closing bell. In AH a few minutes later they announced a stock halt. I stopped trading PK and OTC stocks ever since then.
