The stock market did well again on Wednesday as investors continue to buy stocks in September. The Dow Jones will have resistance up at the 10,720 area so I see limited upside from here in the short term. All eyes will be on the initial jobless claims report due out at 8:30am EST on Thursday. Stock Market 9/14/10 September 14, 2010



The Stock Market began the day on fire Monday but sold off during the afternoon hours. We have about 1 1/2 hours until the close but this was bearish to see. However, if the S&P 500 can close above 1120, I think it has a chance to test 1150. Economic data will be plentiful this week with Retail Sales on Tuesday followed by Industrial Production on Wednesday.

REE has formed a classic Bearish Engulfing after a more than 300% rise in only 2 months. Notice the gigantic volume today, more than 2x the volume of the previous day, and the largest in the stock's history. A large gap down would certainly confirm this pattern is valid. If price can break through the high today that would invalidate the candle.

The stock market rallied nicely in the morning on Wednesday but came back to earth during the afternoon hours. The Dow Jones continues to have resistance located between 10,450-10,500. All eyes will be on initial jobless claims due out Thursday at 8:30am EST

Stock Market 9/3/10 September 3, 2010



The stock market really hung in there Thursday after a huge up move on Wednesday. Initial jobless claims came in at 472,000 which was slightly better than expected versus last week. All eyes will be on the August jobs report on 9/3/10 which will be a market mover.
