Stock Screener September 1, 2010
This is a running discussion where we can share things we see jumping for either a daytrade or a swing trade.
I have a screener that really helps finding daytrade opportunities. It finds which stocks will, by the end of the day, be trading at at least two times its 30 day average volume. I look for stocks that really are jumping on volume (and hopefully news) and then employ Tim's breaking the HOD plan. I put my reverse Fibonacci retracement on these and just wait. I will post what I find jumping when it shows on the screener.
I will also post what I think may be swing trade opportunities.
Every morning you can go to Tim's blog page (link on top of page that says stock blog) where he posts pre market.

Yeah, I was following your tweets...when I saw it break the 3.34 HOD (or so), I really wanted to jump in, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. If it closes above 3.6 that's a strong sign for tomorrow. High-flyers like this typically go down quickly once they hit there 161.8 level, but this has maintained quite well.

back from a vacation and didn't have the courage to pull the trigger on SRZ...too bad. We haven't seen one running like this in a LONG time (at least that's how it feels).

Wow SRZ is really on fire today - Cardiome Pharma Corp. (CRME) was just halted with news pending....not sure whats up with that stock
